The protective ballistic blanket can be used as:

1. Personal protection
   - to cover windows, doors in rooms or in motor vehicles, direct protection of persons or animals.
   
   
2. Protection against planted bombs
   - k zakrytí podezřelých předmětů nalezených na volných nebo uzavřených prostranstvích, např. na letištích, stadionech, ve veřejných budovách, obchodních domech apod. do příchodu pyrotechnika. Podezřelý předmět se ohradí malým nebo velkým prstencem, nahoře zakryje víkem a vše se zakryje balistickou přikrývkou.
   
   
3. Modular system of interior protection of persons in buildings
   
   a) Portable protection
   The protective ballistic blankets have been designed in such a way that it is possible to easily and quickly build up barriers that can be set together as required. Blankets are hung on metal stands adjustable both vertically and horizontally. This protective system can be used especially in military mobile medical facilities.
   
   b) Fixed protection
   In field hospitals and other buildings where solid panels are attached to a metal structure the bullet-proof insert can be built in them directly.

Technical data

The rings and the top are used to cover suspect objects before a bomb disposal expert makes them safe. In case of an explosion, persons who are in the nearest surroundings are protected against the effects of fragments.

ČSN 39 5360Care of the ballistic blanket is simple and only consists in a possible removal of superficial impurities by shampooing and with standard detergents.

The blanket cannot be washed nor dry-cleaned. The manufacturer recommends keeping the blanket, preferably in unfolded state, in a dry place at normal temperature. If necessary, e.g. in field hospitals, the blanket can be provided with removable white washable cover.
